what's unspoken

Things left unspoken
because pains have awoken
Someone's careless words were spoken.
Tears and heartbreak are the token
left by what has broken.

Poetry

Sibling pups

The little sibling pups.
loved to sip water from tea cups.
They'd run around all day
yipping and yapping as they play.
Filling our hearts with joy
as they run chasing my little boy.
Playing little rascally games
while I try to give them their names.
As they have snuck into my heart
and with them, I can not depart.

Poetry

Better than beer

Each word that gets put here
expresses what this poet has to share.
They leave lasting effects on the readers
more than empty bottles of beer.
The poems, filled with feelings,
emotions, memories, or places in time.
Evoking laughter, joy, and sometimes tears,
are better than anything
when wanting to escape reality
they fall into drinks or addiction
Beer only numbs what cannot be hidden
just alters one’s personality
while poetry forever remains,
understanding what gets hidden away.
From what everyone can see.
While alcohol has nothing to gain.
